IGREJA DA MISERICORDIA
This Mannerist and Baroque church has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, a choir, a sacristy and a bell tower.
From the outside, this church appears quite modest. Yet it would be a shame to turn away, given the magnificence of its interior and the simplicity of its façade. This Mannerist, Baroque church, whose construction began in the 16th century, has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, choir, sacristy and bell tower. It was in the 18th century that the interior was refurbished: the altarpiece and gilded wood carvings contrast sharply with the sumptuous blue azulejos.
