This touching little museum takes you (upstairs) into the peasant home of an Alentejo family in the early 20th century. On the first floor, the display cases house dozens of antique Estremoz figurines, popular 17th- and 19th-century statuettes which, like our santons, depict scenes from everyday rural life. A few dozen meters from the museum, in the superb Gothic building of the former Estremoz courthouse, the drawing gallery presents collections of sketches, paintings, casts..
