FLORBELA ESPANCA
Florbela Espanca is the beautiful name of a Portuguese poetess who lived an eventful life and died at the age of 36, leaving a body of work full of sensuality and gentleness. Her stylized effigy is featured on the wall of the restaurant that bears her name, in the eponymous street of her birthplace. A small, family-run restaurant offering excellent value for money, this is the place to enjoy regional specialities such as the famous migas, or a cozido that will satisfy any appetite. In summer, the small sun-sheltered terrace is quickly snapped up.
