CASTELO DE TERENA
From the top of the walls, you can contemplate the soft and melancholic panorama of the Alentejo, its hills of olive trees and oaks.
The village of Terena has one major attraction for visitors: its fortified castle, or rather, what's left of it. A stroll along the parapet walk is an invitation to daydream, as the ramparts are now home to simple, wild, sun-scorched lawns: nature has reclaimed its rights over the old stones. As few tourists pass through here, you have the privilege of being alone at the top of the walls to contemplate the gentle, melancholy panorama of the Alentejo, its hills of olive and oak trees stretching as far as the eye can see.
