MUSEU DA FOTOGRAFIA JOÃO CARPINTEIRO
This museum houses a collection of vintage cameras and various objects belonging to the João Carpinteiro Foundation.
This museum, born of the passion of the man who gave it its name, is an opportunity to marvel at the equipment used in this industry. Housed in the former cinema, it features a collection of vintage cameras and other objects dating from 1860 to the present day, belonging to the João Carpinteiro Foundation. Don't miss the Kodak Vest Pocket from 1912 and the old Polaroid cameras! The walls feature 2,750 black-and-white and digitized photographs by Elvas, as well as interesting temporary exhibitions.
