MUSEU MUNICIPAL
This small museum houses collections of sacred art from the convents of São Bernardo and Santa Clara.
It's a very pleasant little museum, which you can visit with a guide, which isn't often the case. It is housed in the diocesan seminary building, built at the end of the 19th century. The collections are made up of works of sacred art from the convents of São Bernardo and Santa Clara, as well as private collections, including a series of... no fewer than 700 images of Santo António. You're sure to appreciate this touching 15th-century pietà, and even more so this astonishing Christ, seated in the thinker's pose, called Senhor da Patience.
