FONTE DA VILA
This strange and beautiful fountain with a roof was part of the original Jewish quarter.
A strange and beautiful fountain with a roof! Its rectangular main reservoir is bordered by vertical granite slabs, whose six marble columns support a pyramidal lid ending in... a pine cone. Listed as a place of public interest since 1953, this fountain near the thermal baths was part of the original Jewish quarter. Built in the 16th century, it was probably modified over the centuries from a simple water source to a small drinking fountain, until it took on its present form. Its water has many virtues.
