This confeitaria, housed in an old stone house with a terrace overlooking the Tâmega river, produces home-made regional pastries and cakes. The range of Portuguese sweets on offer, from bolo de São Gonçalo to papos de anjo, foguetes and brisas, is a marvel to behold, and is best enjoyed by the river. The Confeitaria da Ponte dates back to 1930, and is popular with the Portuguese, who visit daily. The coffee is excellent. The welcome is quite good, but varies from day to day.

Confeitaria Da Ponte
