Archaeological museum that exhibits interesting regional archaeological pieces arranged in the Gothic cloister in Guimaraes.

This archaeological museum bears witness to the country's military culture. It is managed by the Martins Sarmento Foundation, which also takes care of the archives in partnership with the university. The museum is not large, but it exhibits interesting regional archaeological pieces arranged in the Gothic cloister, the remains of a monastery near the São Domingos church. The library has more than 60,000 volumes. If there are not many visitors, a guide will be happy to accompany you.
