Chapel remarkable for its Romanesque style of great simplicity and its granite walls in Guimarães.

Romanesque chapel from the 13th century in which Alphonse Henriques is said to have been baptized (although the dates of construction do not coincide with the event). It is classified as a historical monument. Although quite small, the São Miguel Chapel is remarkable for its Romanesque style of great simplicity and its granite walls. The interior is paved with the graves of noble warriors who contributed to the foundation of the kingdom, including knights of the Templar order. After damage, it was restored in the 18th century.
