LEATHER QUARTER
A short detour to the Ribeira da Costa is worth a visit. The city of Guimarães has invested a large part of the European Capital budget in the rehabilitation of old industrial and craft areas. The Do neighbourhood (leather) is a successful example of this: They discover ancient basins where the skins were treated, a former soap factory and a little place reinvested by artistic projects. A project conceived with and for the inhabitants, consistent with the architecture and history of this place; On the way you will discover photos of the locals.
