MUSEU NOGUEIRA DA SILVA
Museum that presents a large collection of Portuguese and foreign paintings, built by the architect Raul Rodrigues Lima.
The Nogueira da Silva Museum has a large collection of Portuguese and foreign paintings (especially Flemish), furniture, china, earthenware, sculptures, fabrics, azulejos and various silver and ivory objects. The building was built by the architect Raul Rodrigues Lima. The gardens are splendid and allow one to observe the art that is present, such as the replica statues of Daphne and Apollo, the painting of Dutch azulejos dating from the 17th century, and a replica of the São Bento fountain from the monastery of Tibães, near Braga.
