The small village that gave its name to the national park is also a spa resort, with hot springs that you'll spot along with other shops as you stroll down Dr. Manuel Gomes de Almeida street. These are reserved for people with chronic illnesses. In the adjoining thermal park (admission 1 euro), you can enjoy the greenery and peace and quiet and, why not, hop in a rowboat for a stroll on the small rowing pond. A must-see spot in Peneda-Gerês.
