One of the most easily accessible waterfalls in the Peneda-Gerês Park, one of the most famous, located near the Spanish border.
This waterfall is one of the easiest to reach in the Peneda-Gerês park, and therefore one of the best known. It lies close to the Spanish border, almost at the end of the road from Gerês. You'll have to walk to get there, though. Park at the border and walk 800 metres to the bridge, where you'll spot it. To the right of the waterfall is a small path that you can take to be quieter if it's busy. The path leads to the Carris mines (20 km), but beware, it's easy to get lost. Take a GPS or map with you.
