This is the element that stands out most in the panorama of Bragança. With its characteristic and massive tower, this citadel dominates the surroundings from afar. It is therefore necessary to climb (by car without any problem) a little bit to get there. Inside the 12th century fortress, a few medieval houses create a picturesque setting. In front of the castle, a strange pillory will surely challenge you: its base is made of a pig statue. But not just any pig! It is indeed one of the Berrões, the holy pigs of the pagan mythology of the Tras-Os-Montes.

Le château, dont l'entrée vous permettra de visiter la cour, les tours et le musée militaire, est le symbole de la ville. Sa visite est très intéressante.
