The manor house takes its name from the Venoix dynasty, old, since it is said that one of its members accompanied Guillaume le Conquérant in 1066 during the conquest of England. Despite the extensive damage it suffered during the Second World War, and especially in 1944, with over 30 years of work, it gradually recovered its appearance in 1648, which, however, incorporated some changes in the nineteenth century.
