CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL
Cathedral dominated by a square Gothic tower, considered the "mother" church of all Anglican churches.
The cathedral was built in 1837 on the site of the first church in the Bahamas, dating from 1670, and was consecrated as a cathedral by the Diocese of Nassau in 1861. It is considered to be the "mother" church of all the Anglican churches in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. It is a church of modest proportions, dominated by a square tower in Gothic style, but which has been rebuilt several times over the centuries, which explains the mixture of styles found there. Inside, you can admire a cloister and a solid wood roof.
