NATIONAL ART GALLERY
Museum in the 2-storey Doyle villa with columned galleries, featuring a collection of paintings and photographs by artists.
Since 2003, the museum has been housed in the Villa Doyle, a superb manor house dating from 1860, which had been left abandoned to be restored to its original splendour in the 1990s. The building has two levels with columned galleries. The museum, for its part, does its utmost to showcase Bahamian artists around the world. The collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and photographs by Bahamian artists presented here is a testimony to local creation from the colonial period to the present day.
