ALBERT LOWE MUSEUM
Go there and contact
Museum featuring an exhibition of works of art, objects, documents, photographs and ship models.
Officially inaugurated in 1976, the museum is named after the father of Alton artist Roland Lowe, who was a woodcarver and boat modeler. The place, a pocket handkerchief, is dedicated to a naval craftsman descended from the first settlers. It occupies a beautiful typical green and white mansion, dating from 1826, which was visited by many noble people. An exhibition of works of art, by the painter Alton and the sculptor James Mastin, and an exhibition of objects, documents, photographs, and models of boats testifying to the history of the Abacos await the visitors.
