The traditional Bahamian regatta, a living homage to one of man's most beautiful creations, is giving way to sailing!
Born in 1954 on the initiative of a small group of yachtsmen, this impressive regatta became the reference in the field from 1973 on the occasion of the celebration of the independence of the Bahamas. One of the primary objectives of the regatta today is to contribute to the preservation of old-fashioned boat building skills. In fact, the golden rule governing the competition requires that each boat be designed, built and launched in the Bahamas.
