Every year since the 1980s, between 400 and 500 sailing boats have competed against each other for about ten days at the end of February. This sporting and festive event kicks off the big regatta in April. It must be said that George Town is renowned for welcoming boaters from all over the world who come to spend the winter in the sun. At the start a simple series of sailing races that today has turned into a good week of celebration that is a joy for participants and visitors alike.
