The wall is also visible in Mutianyu (79 km from Beijing), an extremely disputed valley throughout the history of China. This part of the Great Wall was built over 1,400 years ago. The climb can be made by cable car, and after a good walk on the ramparts of an hour and a half or even 2 hours, you can go back by a luge: The German system is very close and makes the joy of the small and the big! We go down on a metal luge that slips into a giant slide slide for 10 minutes, until the parking lot, at the foot of the wall! For the most reasonable, a lift is the same route. The walk on the wall is very beautiful and much less crowded than Badaling. The panoramic view that sees it snapshot away from its forks in good condition, on the mountain ridge towards the horizon, is splendid when time permits. Don't forget to equip yourself with your camera… even if every 400 m, a Chinese disguised as a fierce Mongolian warrior will propose to you, against a more or less modest sum, to get you photographed by his side and if necessary will even be willing to sell you enough so. But it remains one of our favorite corners of the Great Wall.

A faire absolument...
