AEROPORT
N'Djamena airport is the largest airport in Chad, with connections to all the other airports in the country, including Sarh, Moundou and Abéché. It is used for both civilian and military purposes, and French forces have been deployed there frequently since 1939. The airport is fairly dilapidated and has no tax-free zone, so don't expect to buy your last few souvenirs there before heading home. There is, however, an ATM and a bar where you can wait for your plane. A new airport has been planned for several years.
