FAYÇAL MOSQUE
Religious building

In the heart of the neighborhood, the mosque proudly raises its minarets, from the top of which loudspeakers regularly invite the faithful to prayer. Dating from the 1970s, the building was subsidized, as in many other African countries, by King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, hence its current name. The mosque, which is of no major interest, can be visited outside prayer hours. However, decent dress (long skirt and veil compulsory for women) and the imam's authorization are required for this type of visit.
