If there's one Chadian artist you really must visit while in the country, it's Doff, whose real name is Guidembaye Apollinaire. His nickname means "madman" in Wolof, as he creates works of art from recycled materials such as roofing, Kalashnikov casings and tin cans collected from the streets or from places used as rubbish dumps. Doff travels extensively around the world to exhibit his work, so he may not be here, but his loyal friends will be delighted to introduce you to the gallery.
