On the banks of the Chari river, some 85 km from N'Djamena, lies this small, charming if slightly faded hotel, offering an oasis of greenery just at the entrance to the village of Douguia. Shared access with Hadjer el Hamis from N'Djaména. Cameroon is on the other bank of the Chari, and the nearby sandbanks allow hippos to frolic before your very eyes - a sight worth seeing in itself. This is an excellent stopover on the way to Lake Chad, which is only 2 hours away.
