During the dry season, M'bororo nomads regularly pitch their tents inside the town. Around December and January, the traditional festivals take place, during which the young men cover their faces in yellow and ochre and braid their hair in a very feminine way. Then they sway to the sound of djembes, their lips and eyes exaggeratedly wide open, to please the assembly of young girls, who stimulate their suitors with their singing and clapping.
