The museum has a very large and varied collection, divided into several branches (list online): geology, arts, cultural and industrial history of the Urals. Not to be missed: the Urals Cabinet of Curiosities (Kounstkamera) filled with extraordinary objects: lion skull, mammoth skin, idol from the 2nd century BC, nettle mansi clothing and other objects discovered by archaeologists and ethnologists.
