The Chelyabinsk History Museum has 3 permanent exhibitions devoted to the South Urals: nature (fauna, flora and mineralogy), history and society (discovery of ancient and native ways of life). In addition, in the same building there is a large bookstore, a children's museum, a stone garden and many temporary exhibition rooms (regularly renewed programme). The museum also has its own souvenir shop from which you can bring back a few nice odds and ends.
