Founded on March 4, 1985, the Maison des Savants presents art exhibitions, develops scripts and organizes music programs, seminars, symposia, conferences and other events (including fashion shows). It is an astonishing multi-purpose cultural complex, housing several points of interest: a dance studio, the jazz club "Saturday is Saturday", which programs Russian and foreign artists, a half-vegetarian, half-traditional Siberian café.
