Very interesting museum which compiles several collections distributed in different buildings: Western European arts, icons, Russian arts from the 18th to the 20th century, sculpture, crafts, Soviet art. It includes the Museum of Wooden Architecture (Kirova 7) and the Museum of Northern Peoples' Arts (Puchkina 21). In addition to these permanent collections, the museum houses a whole host of temporary and often free exhibitions. There's a gift shop right next door.
