The garrison of this fortress dating from 1618 took an active part in the war of 1812 against Napoleon. The museum covers an area of about 21 ha, which includes, in addition to the fortress, various historical and natural monuments. Military fortifications, archaeological sites (including the prison), the house of the merchant Fonarev, exhibits dedicated to the military history of the region. A must-see for history lovers. Numerous organized excursions.
