His precious collection was admired by the Norwegian Fritjof Nancen, an Arctic explorer, when he visited the region in 1913. Farm implements and objects of domestic life, clothing of the people of the Far North, old books bound in full skin, velvet embroidery, wood and iron sculptures, as well as a 19th century gold digger's machine. A curiosity: the unique (and original) portrait of Ermak, chief of the Cossacks.
