LE RESTAURANT DE LA GALERIE
Nice restaurant with terrace offering Norman dishes.
Here is the opportunity to venture into the Pays d'Auge, even if it means getting lost on the small winding roads. Turn after turn, after turning back once or twice (rely on a good old road map and signs, rather than your GPS), your first happiness will be to have found, like a big one, this friendly country inn. Jean-Pascal has made this restaurant a meeting place for friends and the fiefdom of many Parisians who have made it their canteen... for the weekend. No big à la carte flights but dishes with Norman touches (accompanied by homemade fries): Valley of the Auge chicken, roast pork with cider sauce, Caen-style tripe, trio of Norman cheeses, Tatin tart, apple thin tart..... The formula served every lunchtime reassures the locals who, as a result, have also made it their canteen... of the week! And here is a successful recipe that makes everyone shake hands and clap on Jean-Pascal's shoulder who only makes happy people. To live happily, let's live in hiding? Okay, we're giving you this address, but it's just between us. Because you haven't heard about the red and white checkered tablecloths, the terrace, the fireplace and snacks yet! Snacks? Yes, it is! No brunch, no snacks here! A plate of pork (also pancakes) and a shot of cid' from Ferme des Parquets (the farm we love, in Fourneville a stone's throw from Honfleur) to refresh you, that's the snack! Come on! Come on! Let's eat!
