Built at the end of the 19th century, also known as "Krujevnoï dom" (lace house) thanks to its exceptional carved wooden ornaments. This is the former residence of the merchant Chastine. At the initiative of the French Association for the Protection of Historic Monuments and the Irkutsk City Hall, it was saved from demolition and then included in the UNESCO list. It is part of an essential cultural complex where the tourist office is located, among other sites of interest.
