Elegant and cosy hotel with luxurious rooms and terrace among the best rated in the European capital
The Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île opened its doors in 1964, making it the first Sofitel hotel in the world! Today, it's part of the Accor Hotels chain and one of the top-rated hotels in the European capital. Its luxurious rooms are all warm and comfortable, and the decor combines classic and contemporary, tradition and design. Elegant and cosy, the headboard features a gold calligraphy on a white wall, recounting the history of Strasbourg. The bathrooms feature hairdryers, beauty mirrors and Hermès toiletries. You'll also appreciate the cosy setting of the Le Link bar area, where inventive and attentive bartenders serve classic cocktails, as well as their own creations, to be enjoyed with tapas or small dishes from the à la carte menu. The hotel's restaurant, Terroir & Co, offers innovative cuisine featuring local produce, and refined, efficient service. In fine weather, enjoy the exquisite terrace overlooking the beautiful Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune church, a haven of peace in the heart of Strasbourg. Another delightful space: the interior patio is home to a vineyard, planted with seven Alsatian grape varieties in a beautifully landscaped setting where you can enjoy a drink in the evening or brunch in the morning in a zen environment with an Alsatian twist!
Bonus: the Alsace Wine Route now stops off in Strasbourg!

If you can get the rooms that look to the street your view will be amazing. The valet was 42 euros just FYI.
The rooms had nice carpeting which I have never seen in a hotel; usually the carpet is a touch nicer than AstroTurf. The water closet had two sinks and a bath. Bose radio in the room with nice bedding. King bed and they supplied an additional twin.
The hotel was just a few blocks from Notre Dame, which is humbling to say the least ... Notre Dame, not the bedding.
Breakfast was very satisfying with a variety of pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, eggs... Delightful and delicious.
Will stay here again.
A bientôt
