The Strasbourg European Fantasy Film Festival broadcasts horror, thriller, science fiction, animation and virtual reality films for a week. Their format can be long or short. The event takes place at Vox, Star-Saint-Exupéry, Star, Star, and UGC cinemas, but also in more surprising places such as the Shadok, the Municipal Baths, the Saint-Guillaume church or outdoors. Exhibitions, conferences and Master Classes are also organised in parallel. The best European feature film is awarded a Méliès d'or.

En tant que membre affilié de la Fédération Européenne des Festivals du Film Fantastique, le Festival de Strasbourg organise la compétition du Méliès d’Argent avec les plus prestigieux festivals de films fantastiques d’Europe : Amsterdam, Bruxelles, Espoo, Leeds, Lund, Neuchâtel, Trieste, et Sitges.
Le Festival propose également de nombreux évènements en parallèle, attirant des publics diversifiés: une des plus grandes Zombie Walk en Europe avec plus de 3500 participants, des Master Class, le Village Fantastique, des ateliers pour enfants, des conférences, des expositions et bien d’autres choses.
Un événement à ne surtout pas rater pour tous les fans de films de genre !
