The Alsace Mammal Study and Protection Group is a non-profit association designed to promote knowledge and protection of wild mammals and their habitats in Alsace. Through the establishment of thematic working groups, the management of a data bank, publication of scientific articles and books, expertise in mammalian areas, GEPMA carries out a lot of studies, it also creates protection programs for threatened regional species and offers exhibits, audiovisual assemblies, internships, guided tours, platelets.' information, publications and conferences'. The latter, free, are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 8 p. m. in a room of the Zoological Museum in Strasbourg.
