Occupying the second floor of the Villa Herrenschmidt (named after the dynasty of tanners who settled there in 1843), the Bibliothèque Alsatique du Crédit Mutuel is a heritage and research library located at the headquarters of Crédit Mutuel. Specialized in alsatian books, it holds no less than 45,000 volumes, a very rich collection of works that includes incunabula as well as contemporary publications, brochures and periodicals. The themes are very diverse: history, literature, sciences, arts, economics, politics, local law, religion..
