In the heart of the large buildings of the Grand Seminary built between 1769 and 1775 by the Cardinal de Rohan, the library offers the fans of books the pleasure of perfumes of leather, ink and paper. The director, Louis Schaeffli, is a knowledgeable gumby who guides you by appointment; You will tell the story of this amazing library, most of which come from the seminary of Molsheim founded in 1580. One of the jewels in the collection is a th century Greek Bible, the Novum Testamentum Graecae, offered at the Molsheim seminary. Over the years, wars, invasions and transfers have been lost or have been destroyed. There are still close to 120 000 volumes specialized in the church and alsatique but also history, philosophy, French and German literature, 237 incunables, nearly 4 000 works of the th century, precious vélins and rarities.
