This necropolis is home to numerous tombstones and sarcophagi, including the imposing mausoleum of Marshal Maurice de Saxe

Volontarily nicknamed the "granddaughter of the cathedral", the church of Saint-Thomas is not at all a young girl with its 800 years of existence! Founded in the 7th century by the bishop Saint Florent, it was rebuilt in 1144 after a fire. It was at this time that its five naves of equal height were built. A veritable museum of funerary sculptures, this necropolis houses numerous tombstones and sarcophagi, including the imposing mausoleum of Marshal Maurice of Saxony. It is one of the major works of the sculptor Pigalle commissioned by Louis XV. The church houses a prestigious and monumental Silbermann organ, classified as a Historic Monument. The very beautiful stained glass windows date from the 14th century.

Wirklich toll.
