THE KAMMERZELL HOUSE
Magnificent half-timbered house with three floors of carved woodwork and countless stained-glass windows
The Gothic foundations date back to 1427, and this incredible half-timbered building boasts three floors of woodwork, countless windows with stained-glass cul-de-bouteilles and sacred and secular sculptures adorning the beams and half-timbering. Kammerzell attracts visitors from all over the world. The façade features Judas, Caesar, Charlemagne, Hector and Godefroy de Bouillon... In the 19th century, the house became a restaurant, making it one of the oldest buildings still in use in the city. So you can not only eat here, but also stay.
