Strasbourg-based museum preserving the region's folk arts and traditions, with an insight into Alsace's past

The museum is made up of old, interconnected 17th-century Strasbourg houses and has a lot of character. Within this exceptional building, which serves as a showcase, the museum aims to preserve the arts and popular traditions of the region. Here you can move from room to room to discover the Alsatian past: reconstructions of period interiors and scenes from everyday life. The material collected is impressive: costumes, headdresses, everyday objects, ceramics, beautiful furniture, toys, secular or sacred popular imagery.
