Strasbourg museum with France's finest collection of medieval and Renaissance art, including original statuary

Founded in 1931, this Strasbourg museum boasts one of France's finest collections of medieval and Renaissance art. Original statues from the cathedral stand side by side with the finest examples of 15th-and 16th-century Upper Rhenish art, including paintings by Conrad Witz and sculptures by Nicolas Gerhaert of Leiden. The architecture of the museum buildings is also worthy of note: the oldest dates back to the 13th century, the most recent to the 16th.

Ein exzellentes museum, auch wenn die Beschriftungen nur auf Französisch sind. Aber das ist in Deutschland gegenüber umgekehrt ja nicht anders. Ich habe mich mit meinem Handy mit abfotografieren und direkt übersetzen beholfen. Man kann fast sagen, nirgendwo wird das deutsche Kulturerbe so gepflegt wie hier in Frankreich.

Le musée est magnifique ! Les vitraux et statues exposés très très bien conservés, le musée se répartit sur plusieurs étages (je me suis perdue mais en vrai c'est simple de compréhension c'est juste pas mon domaine de prédilection l'orientation). Bref au top du top de préserver de si beaux vestiges de la religion ayant construit notre pays. Gloire à la France, gloire à Dieu ♡

Musée qui vaut vraiment le détour. Situé tout près de la cathédrale, il possède une collection avec de beaux objets en lien avec la cathédrale mais aussi avec la vie de la ville, son artisanat et son orfèvrerie. Sans parler du cadre, vieille maison avec jardin xxx
