Behind a monumental facade, a rather well-made and interesting museum, retracing the history of the conquest of Siberia with some pieces from the imperial era and many from the Red Army. Thousands of objects: weapons, models of military equipment, medals, gifts from foreign delegations, banners, etc. Long closed, Tchita is still a military post. You will probably meet conscripts from the region, for whom the visit is mandatory!
