VILYOUTCHINSKI VOLCANO
Go there and contact
Going through Avatchinskaïa Bay from Petropavlovsk-Kamtchatski, you will see in the background the summit of the Viloutchensky volcano whose grandeur and beauty are particularly striking. Having not had an eruption for more than 3 000 years, the volcano is considered to be extinct. It reaches 2 173 m and its point is truncated on the western side with a slope marked by deep grooves, made by ancient lava and mud flows.
The climb of the volcano begins with a steep and steep path on the left side, right in front of a very beautiful waterfall, and bypasses the flank of the mountain through green meadows and sumptuous landscapes. On arrival you will have a breathtaking view of Avatchinskaïa Bay, the second largest bay in the world. Near the Viloutchensky volcano, smoke columns climb over its neighbors, Mutnovsky and Gorely.
