KARASHVILI S WINE CELLAR

A brick-clad cellar and an excellent welcome for testing Georgian wines. The managers will guide you in your choices and the "samples" tested and poured are very generous. The wines come from the Kakhetia wine region. Your hosts will explain that wine has been produced here for over six hundred years, since 1396 to be exact. You'll have the opportunity to taste eleven different kinds of wine, so if you don't want to walk in zigzags on the way out, remember to satiate yourself at the same time. Wine is best enjoyed without thirst, to the accompaniment of a piano melody.
