ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH OF KACHVETI
Beautiful church designed by German architect Leopold Bielefeld, inviting you to visit and admire the frescoes.
A pretty church that stands out with its classicism. The present building was designed by a German architect, Leopold Bielefeld. The first monument was erected in the 6th century, then destroyed many times throughout history. The apse above the altar was painted by one of the most illustrious Georgian painters of the 20th century, Lado Gudashvili. This artist can be recognized by his style showing his slender figures. One can therefore make a visit to admire these frescoes.
