DIDOUBÉ
The Didube district stretches beyond the Dinamo stadium, where the royal residence was built in the time of Queen Tamar.
After the Dinamo stadium, left bank, the Tsérétéli avenue and the Didube district extend. At the time of Queen Tamar, the royal residence stood here. One can see on the left side the church of the Virgin of Didoubé, a 19th century structure that stands on the site of the royal church where Tamar married the Ossetian prince David Soslan. In the 19th century, Didubbe, on the Koura River, was the port of Tbilisi. Much further on at the end of the Tsérétéli Avenue, the bus station of Didoubé, another huge bazaar of the city. Go there to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Tbilisi.
