ALEXANDRE CHAVCHAVADZE'S HOUSE-MUSEUM
Splendid Chavchavadze princely residence set in magnificent parkland.
The village of Tsinandali is well worth a visit for this superb estate. In the center of a magnificent park stands the splendid residence of the Chavchavadze princes, a noble Kakhetian family of which the poet Alexander Chavchavadze (1786-1846) was the most illustrious representative. This poet and warrior prince hosted literary salons that attracted the most brilliant minds of his time. A man of letters, he was also the instigator of Georgia's first winery.
